The falling man

September 11, 2001 had a huge amount of photos and video showing one of the most notorious acts of terrorism and its consequences. But exactly this snapshot of a falling down man against the still-standing towers of the World Trade Center can be named the symbol of those events. It shows not only the tragedy of the city, the country and the world, but the tragedy and despair of every person who died in the WTC. Falling from the North Tower man was photographed by Richard Drew at 9 am 41 minutes and 15 seconds. And this unidentified man was one of more than two hundred people who prefered death  of falling from the upper floors of the skyscraper than the death of the smoke, fire or collapse of the towers.
Probably it was Jonathan Briley, a 43-year-old sound engineer of the restaurant Windows On The World, located on the top floor of the North Tower, but officially it has not been confirmed.
Photo of a "falling man" is named as the most powerful image of a human despair XXI century.
